- Training for: Oakland Running Festival
- Training in: Pleasant Hill, CA
- Fundraising goal: $1,000
Hello!
I’ve been training for the past few months to
prepare for the Oakland Half Marathon in March in an effort to raise money
to stop animal suffering.
This year, all the funds raised will go to PETA’s
Investigations and Rescue fund, which is some of the most important work
that PETA does. Staffers are actually out in the field every day helping
individual animals that are stuck in horrific situations, neglected and often
chained to a post in the freezing cold, starving without food or water for days
on end. Your support can provide a sturdy doghouse to a neglected backyard
dog who has no shelter, help rescue an animal from an abusive situation,
support the undercover investigators who are working to expose cruel conditions
behind closed doors, and much more. This is a cause that anyone with half a
heart and a touch of empathy can get behind. It’s on behalf of these
animals I am training harder than I ever have, and asking you for your
support.
With our wedding coming up in June, I can't afford
to make the big donations I want so badly to give to this cause...and thus
I am running and asking for your support! Please help me by sponsoring my run. ANY
amount ($5, $10, $100) will help and be greatly appreciated.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
