Be an Angel for the Animals this New Year!
My love and respect for animals translates into all aspects of my life - I do not eat them, I do not wear them, I do not use products in which animals were tested, I volunteer at a local shelter, and I open my home to foster animals waiting to be adopted.  I occasionally jump into the Contra Costa Canal to rescue baby ducks.  When the opportunity to fundraise for a cause I strongly believe in presented itself, it was a no-brainer - of course I would!

On March 28th I will be running the Oakland Half-Marathon in honor of, and in an effort to raise money for, animals who need a voice.  I will be running with the PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) Pack, and my personal goal is to raise a minimum of $1000 by March 28th.  I hope you can help!

This year, all the funds raised by the PETA Pack go to the Investigations and Rescue fund, which is some of the most important work that PETA does.  Your money can provide a sturdy doghouse to a neglected backyard dog who has no shelter, help rescue an animal from a cruelty situation, support undercover investigators who are working to expose cruel conditions behind closed doors, and much more! This is a cause that anyone can get behind, and it is on behalf of these animals that I am going to be training hard and asking for your support.
