I was thrilled to have had the privilage of meeting PETA Co-Founder and President Ingrid Newkirk last month at an event in the Bay Area where she and several campaign managers spoke of the many successes of the past year and plans for the future.  The recent rescue of 27,000 animals from the exotic pet trade who were exposed due to PETA's undercover investigation is just one of those successes. Without PETA, these animals would still be suffering to death at the hands of cruel people whose only interest is exploiting animals for profit.
I have chosen to support PETA because it is the largest animal rights organization in the world and it focuses its attention on the four areas in which the largest numbers of animals suffer the most intensely for the longest periods of time: on factory farms, in laboratories, in the fashion industry, and in the entertainment industry. They also work to prevent a variety of other abuses, including the cruel killing of beavers, birds, and other "pests" and cruelty toward backyard dogs. Take a look at PETA's annual review if you have any reservations about how they use all donations wisely in exposing animal cruelty that would otherwise go un noticed.

Although PETA does work in all these areas, all funds raised by the 2010 PETA Pack team will go directly to their Investigations & Rescue Fund. That means your money can provide a sturdy doghouse to a neglected backyard dog who has no shelter, help rescue an animal from a cruelty situation, or support undercover investigators who are working to expose cruel conditions behind closed doors that may otherwise go unnoticed.

Dogs left outside without shelter in extreme weather conditions, animals trapped on factory farms, on fur farms, in laboratories and circuses can't call 911 for help. But with your support, PETA will step in and help those animals in need.

Your donations directly help make the world a better place for animals.

I would appreciate your support.

Thank you.
